Guide: Badges & Achievements

Beyond direct trading PnL, Degen Pets features a robust Badge system to reward consistent play, specific milestones, unique achievements, and sometimes, just sheer persistence (or glorious failure!). Badges provide small $DGPT bonuses and serve as marks of distinction for both your player profile and your individual Pet NFTs.

Types of Badges

There are two main categories of Badges:

1. Player Badges:

   • Awarded To: Your player account (tied to your wallet address).

   • Visibility: Displayed on your public Player Profile.

   • Focus: Reward overall account progression, collection milestones, tournament participation/wins, cumulative PnL achievements, and engagement with various game features (Items, Forging, Quant Lab).

   • Examples: "Team Builder" (Own 4 Pets), "Tournament Novice" (First tourney entry), "Profit Prophet" (+1000 $DGPT PnL), "Rekt Rookie" (All active pets lose same day).

   • Reward: 10 $DGPT per badge, paid from the dedicated Achievement Reward Pool.

2. Pet Badges (Attributes):

   • Awarded To: Individual Pet NFTs based on their specific performance and history.

   • Visibility: Displayed on that Pet's Detail View page. May have small indicators on Collection Cards.

   • Focus: Reward trading streaks (winning or losing!), trade volume milestones, specific trading behaviors ("Paper Hands", "Diamond Hands"), individual pet profitability, and unique occurrences (first win, first loss, hitting max/min mood).

   • Examples: "Green Clover" (25 win streak), "Black Clover" (25 loss streak), "Millennium Trader" (1000 trades), "Whale Rider" (Huge single trade profit).

   • Reward: 5 $DGPT per badge, paid from the dedicated Achievement Reward Pool.

Finding Badge Information

• Full List: Refer to the Appendix: Badge List for a comprehensive list of currently available Player and Pet badges, their trigger conditions, and placeholder $DGPT rewards.
• In-Game (Player): Check your Player Profile section within the application to see which Player Badges you have already earned.

• In-Game (Pet): Navigate to a specific Pet's Detail View to see the Pet Badges it has earned throughout its trading history.

Strategy: Badge Hunting

Actively pursuing specific badges can be a rewarding way to play Degen Pets.

• Try pushing a pet for a long winning streak to snag the Green Clover.

• Don't despair if a pet hits a losing streak - the Black Clover offers a decent $DGPT reward!

• Experiment with different market assignments to earn "Market Explorer".

• Use items regularly to work towards "Item Enthusiast".

• Participate in every tournament type, even if you don't expect to win, to collect participation badges and work towards potential "Champ" badges.

The Badge system ensures that nearly all forms of engagement with the Degen Pets ecosystem are recognized and potentially rewarded.
