  1. Welcome to Degen Pets

Introduction

At its core, Degen Pets is an experiment. We set out to explore the intersection of gameplay and cryptocurrency trading. To us crypto is in iteself a metagame, various interactions alter wallet contents to derive differant values. Fans of game thorey we think blockchain games can be enjoyable beyond just the dapp itself, what would be reffered to as the game.

Whilst working on automated backtesting strategies we wondered if we could add mechanics to give further depth to the pet game concept, with pets trading against the simulated market (PvE Mode) until the smart contract is depleted of tokens then switching to an open order book to trade against each other (PvP Mode).

Royalties, trading fees and ape generated from activations are sent to the Royalty Processor Contract to be split between strengthening ecosystem liquidity (90%) and operational costs (10%).
