What is $DGPT Used For?
$DGPT is not just a reward; it has crucial utility within the game. You need $DGPT to perform key actions:
Acquire More Pets: After your first free pet (from the Trading Desk purchase), all subsequent Pet NFTs must be purchased using $DGPT (Cost: 100* $DGPT, 100% Burned*).
Forge New Pets: The Forging process requires a significant $DGPT fee (Cost: 500* $DGPT, 90%* Burned*).
Unlock & Use Quant Lab: Accessing the advanced Quant Lab feature requires a substantial one-time $DGPT payment (Cost: 1000* $DGPT, 90%* Burned*).
Purchase Items: Buying mood boosters (Energy Drink*, Stimulants*, Relaxants*) and utility items (AI Briefing*) requires $DGPT (Costs: 1*-10* $DGPT, 0%* Burn TBD).
Unlock Features: Accessing the Visual Backtester requires purchasing the Charting Module* (Cost: 150* $DGPT, 90%* Burned*).
Enter Major Tournaments: Participating in high-stakes Monthly Major Tournaments requires a $DGPT buy-in fee (Cost: 25* $DGPT, 10%* Burned*).
(Optional future uses: Sleep skips, cosmetics, renaming)
This utility creates organic demand for the token within the game's economy.
How Do You Earn $DGPT (Phase 1 - PvE)?
During the initial PvE phase, $DGPT is distributed as rewards for gameplay activity, drawn from finite pools:
Trading Performance: Primarily earned by closing profitable trades (Base: 3* $DGPT + Bonus up to +5* $DGPT). Break-even trades give a small reward (1* $DGPT). Losses give 0 $DGPT*.
Holding Winners (UPP): Small periodic $DGPT rewards (+0.5* per 4h*) while a profitable trade is open.
Pet Mood: Reaching maximum Pet Mood (100) grants a bonus (30* $DGPT).
Badges & Achievements: Completing Player (10* $DGPT) and Pet (5* $DGPT) Badges gives one-time rewards.
Tournament Winnings: Placing well in Weekly, Monthly, or Special Tournaments yields $DGPT prizes.
Understanding Supply & Burning
Total Supply: 100,000,000 $DGPT (Fixed).
Initial Burn: 20%* (20,000,000 $DGPT) burned at Token Generation Event.
Effective Supply: 80,000,000 $DGPT* initially available across reward pools, LP, etc.
Deflationary Pressure: Key $DGPT sinks (Pet Purchases, Forging Fees, Quant Lab Unlock, Charting Module, Tournament Buy-ins) permanently burn a large percentage (or 100%) of the tokens spent. This removes $DGPT from circulation forever, designed to counteract emissions and support the token's long-term health. You can track the total burned supply via in-game displays or on-chain.
Trading $DGPT & Liquidity
Decentralized Exchange (DEX): $DGPT will have a primary liquidity pool (DGPT/ETH*) on a designated DEX. This allows players to buy or sell $DGPT using ETH.
Initial Liquidity: Provided via ETH from Trading Desk sales and a portion of the $DGPT supply.
Ongoing Liquidity: Supported by the 4%* NFT Royalty mechanism, which automatically buys $DGPT from the pool and adds it back with paired ETH, constantly adding depth.
Phase 2 (PvP) Shift
Remember, the PvE Reward Pool is finite. Once it's depleted, $DGPT emissions from trading stop.
The game transitions to Phase 2 (PvP), where you use your accumulated $DGPT as risk capital to trade directly against other players. Winning trades take $DGPT from losers.
$DGPT retains its utility for Items, Forging, Quant Lab etc., making it valuable even without PvE emissions.
Understanding the flow and utility of $DGPT is key to navigating the Degen Pets economy effectively. Manage your earnings and spending wisely!
