$DGPT: The native ERC20 utility token of the Degen Pets ecosystem.
Active Pet: A Pet NFT assigned to one of the 4 slots on the Trading Desk, participating in automated trading.
Badges: Non-transferable achievements awarded to players or pets for milestones.
Collection: The player's full roster of owned Pet NFTs.
Forging (f.k.a. Breeding): The process of burning two parent Pet NFTs and $DGPT to mint a new offspring Pet NFT.
Market: A specific crypto asset pair (e.g., BTC/USDT) that pets can be assigned to trade.
Mood: A simulated state reflecting a pet's recent performance, affecting its activity.
Parameter: Unique numerical values stored on each Pet NFT that modify its core trading strategy.
Pet NFT: An ERC721A non-fungible token representing a unique Degen Pet with specific traits.
Phase 1 (PvE): The initial game phase where players earn $DGPT from a reward pool by trading against the simulated market.
Phase 2 (PvP): The later game phase activated after the PvE pool depletes, where pets trade against each other using player-funded $DGPT.
Quant Lab: An endgame feature allowing temporary strategy swapping for one pet.
Species: The type of Degen Pet, determining its core trading strategy logic (e.g., Cat, Ape, Blob).
Timeframe: The candle interval (e.g., 15m, 1h) selected by the player for their pet's strategy calculation.
Trading Desk: The account-bound access pass required to play, allowing up to 4 active pets.
UPP (Unrealized Profit Points): Small $DGPT rewards earned periodically while holding an open profitable trade.
VRF (Verifiable Random Function): Chainlink service used for provably fair randomness where needed.
